“There is meaning in your experience, even when it feels hard to name.”
What To Expect
-
A Supportive Beginning: Your Free Consultation
Before we schedule anything, we start with a 10–15 minute consultation — a real conversation, not a script.
This is your space to share what brought you here, ask questions, and gauge whether working together feels right.
There’s no pressure, no obligation — just clarity. If you’re looking for someone who listens deeply, is genuinely present, and takes your well-being seriously, you’ll feel that in this first step.
If it’s a good match, we move forward. If not, I’ll help guide you toward the right resources. Your care comes first.
-
The Intake Session: Building Safety & Understanding
Once we decide to work together, we schedule a 60–90 minute initial intake session. This is where we slow down, breathe, and begin laying the foundation for our work:
We explore your history and current concerns
Identify your goals and priorities
Discuss what feels urgent and what can wait
Establish emotional safety and trust
Create a plan tailored to you
Therapy isn't a quick transaction — it’s a relationship. Most people need 8–12 sessions just to feel safe enough to open up in a meaningful, healing way. That is completely normal.
There is no rushing your process.
There is no “performing therapy.”
Just honest, human connection with clinical structure and trauma-informed care. -
Ongoing Therapy: Consistent, Attuned, Real
As we move forward, sessions are typically weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs.
My approach blends:
Trauma-informed care
Cultural understanding
Evidence-based practices
Authentic humanity
Clear communication
Flexible, intuitive responsiveness
I am highly trained — but I’m also deeply human. If I don’t know something, I will find out. If you hit a wall, we will work through it together.
Your healing becomes a shared mission, not a burden you carry alone. You show up.
I show up.
We build from there. -
How It Works: Immigration Psychological Evaluations
Clinically grounded, trauma-sensitive, and legally informed.
If you’re navigating an immigration case, the process may feel overwhelming. Many clients arrive anxious, confused, or afraid to share their story.
My role is to make this part of your journey clear, safe, and manageable — while providing a clinically sound, legally meaningful report.
-
Step 1: Free Case Screening (Client or Attorney)
(Attorney-Referred or Client-Initiated)
This brief consultation helps determine whether a psychological evaluation is clinically appropriate and legally relevant to the case.
If an Attorney Contacts Me, we discuss:
The type of case the attorney is pursuing (I-601/I-601A, VAWA, U Visa, T Visa, Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, etc.)
The specific clinical & psycholegal questions that the attorney needs to address
Deadlines, timelines, and expected report delivery
Any trauma-related concerns, safety needs, or interview considerations
Whether a psychological evaluation will strengthen the legal strategy already determined by counsel
I do not provide legal advice; I collaborate with attorneys to ensure that the clinical assessment aligns with their legal framework.
If a Client Contacts Me Directly
Many clients reach out before speaking with an attorney. In this case, the consultation focuses on:
Understanding why they believe an evaluation might help
Recommending that they retain an immigration attorney (if they have not already)
Clarifying that only an attorney can determine the correct case type
Exploring whether a psychological evaluation is clinically indicated
Explaining the evaluation process in simple, supportive language
I never tell clients which immigration petition to file — that is a legal decision made by their attorney.
Most importantly:
This initial step allows both the client and the attorney to understand who I am. Trauma-informed evaluations require comfort, trust, and a clinician who listens with care and precision.
This is where that begins. -
Step 2: Evaluation Appointment(s)
Gentle, structured, trauma-informed.
The evaluation is completed via secure telehealth and typically includes 1–2 sessions totaling 2–3 hours.
During the evaluation, I focus on:
Understanding the client’s lived experiences
Exploring symptoms, trauma history, and functional impact
Assessing emotional, cognitive, relational, and physical well-being
Identifying hardship, safety concerns, and psychological stressors
Allowing breaks whenever needed
Ensuring the client feels safe, respected, and understood
Clinical assessment tools may be used to clarify symptoms and inform diagnostic impressions. This is not an interrogation and not a pressured interview. Clients often describe the process as validating, relieving, and empowering.
-
Step 3: Clinical Analysis & Report Preparation
Clear. Detailed. Compassionate. Legally useful.
After gathering all necessary information, I prepare a comprehensive immigration psychological evaluation that may include:
Diagnostic impressions (if clinically appropriate)
The emotional and psychological impact of trauma, separation, abuse, hardship, or life stressors
Functional limitations and daily-life impact
Cultural and contextual considerations
Objective testing results, when used
Behavior-based clinical narrative
Analysis relevant to the legal framework provided by the attorney
My reports are:
✔️ Trauma-informed
✔️ Clinically defensible
✔️ Culturally sensitive
✔️ Written clearly for both attorneys and adjudicators
✔️ Easy to integrate into legal evidence packetsStandard turnaround time: 10–14 days
Rush options available. -
Step 4: Coordination, Delivery & Follow-Up
Clients receive a secure digital copy of the final report.
With permission, the report is also sent directly to the attorney. If needed, I offer:
A follow-up review with the client
Clarifications for the attorney
Collaboration with legal counsel for accuracy of representation
Testimony preparation (if requested by counsel)
I remain available for questions and updates throughout the process.

Partnering With Counsel
Attorneys seeking a licensed clinician value the combination of trauma-informed interviewing, clinical precision, and clear, organized reports designed specifically for legal use. I approach each client with cultural sensitivity, grounded compassion, and a steady, professional presence that helps them share difficult experiences without feeling overwhelmed. My evaluations are thorough, ethically sound, and aligned with the legal framework set by counsel. I communicate promptly, meet deadlines reliably, and approach every case with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and genuine care.
Expanding Access To Care
I am currently accepting self-pay clients while completing insurance credentialing in Florida and North Carolina. I’ve also begun the licensure-by-endorsement process in Arizona, expanding access for clients seeking trauma-informed care and immigration evaluations across multiple states.
Clear fees, flexible scheduling, and reimbursement support are available during this transition.
